The Marketing Partnerships team provides industry-leading client service to UEFA and its club competitions’ sponsors, ensuring the full and seamless delivery of all contractual rights and obligations. The role
As Head of Marketing Partnerships, you will be leading a team responsible for the management of UEFA Europa League (UEL) and UEFA Europa Conference League (UECL) sponsor partnerships. Reporting to the Director of Marketing Partnerships, you will be a senior leader within the Marketing Partnerships department and contribute to the day-to-day management of the team, working closely with partners to deliver on objectives and maximise ROI.
Your responsibilities will include:
Leading the management of UEL/UECL sponsor partnerships, by taking an objective-led approach to partnership management and seeking to maximise partners’ ROI
- Implementing efficient delivery processes to ensure consistent and high-quality fulfillment of contractual rights
- Working alongside UEFA and its UEL/UECL sponsor partners to develop a deep understanding of each partners’ businesses and their marketing and sponsorship objectives and needs
- Building strong relationships with internal and external key stakeholders, acting as a trusted advisor and encouraging collaboration at a senior level
Providing effective leadership and guidance to the UEL/UECL partnership management team, fostering a supportive and growth-orientated working environment
- Creating professional development opportunities for team members to enhance their skills and expertise
- Managing budgets with meticulous forecasting, reporting and financial oversight
- Regularly reviewing departmental processes and workflows to identify areas for improvement and to enhance efficiencies and effectiveness
Closely collaborating with the Marketing Sales team to provide support, advice, and partnership insight to enhance the sales process
The candidate
Ideally, you have significant experience managing major sports partnerships across global territories and diverse industry sectors with in-depth knowledge of the industry and market trends. An understanding of the sports betting and gambling sectors is of advantage. It’s important that you have a broad understanding of analytical tools and frameworks with the ability to identify areas of improvement to implement positive change. Likewise, you are able to clearly communicate complex issues and present your thoughts and ideas with ease. You are confident overseeing and delivering marketing campaigns and activation programmes and are familiar with digital marketing and how sponsors can best exploit digital sponsorship rights.
Regarding people management, you have a proven track record of developing and motivating high-performing teams. Your ability to inspire and empower team members alongside your ability to build, nurture and foster collaborative relations at all levels will be essential.

The position will be based at TEAM’s Lucerne office and will involve some international travel.
