Dimanche, Les Philadelphia Eagles ont remporté le 52ème Super Bowl en dominant les New England Patriots. Un évènement qui s’inscrit comme le 10ème le plus suivi dans l’histoire de la télévision américaine en terme d’audiences.
Si le spectacle a été au rendez-vous sur le terrain entre le match et le concert de Justin Timberlake, l’attention des fans a également été retenue par les publicités diffusées sur NBC (5M$ en moyenne les 30 secondes).
Cette année, les publicitaires et les marques ont une nouvelle fois fait appel à de nombreuses célébrités : Morgan Freeman, Danny Devito, Keanu Reeves, Cindy Crawford ou encore Matt Damon pour ne citer qu’eux. Selon le baromètre « Ad Meter » du média américain USA Today, la publicité préférée des téléspectateurs américains a été celle d’Amazon « Alexa loses her voice » diffusée lors du 4ème quart-temps.
